About Luchsinger Vineyards, Bernie Luchsinger, Pilar Luchsinger
Luchsinger Vineyards is owned and operated by Bernie Luchsinger. Bernie, originally from Chile, has been farming grapes in California and Chile since 1968. He planted his vineyards in the Big Valley of Lake County in 1998. Bernie, and his daughter Pilar, currently farm the vineyards whose grapes are sold to wineries in California. Luchsinger Vineyards has gained a reputation for producing premium Sauvignon Blanc and Dessert wines such as late harvest Semillon and Port wine consisting of true Portuguese varieties. Bernie is also owner of Luchsinger Vineyard Management and Services. He has developed over 800 acres of vineyards for his clients in Lake County and continues to farm approximately 200 acres.
